I’ve been waiting for my dreams
To turn into something
I could believe in
And looking for that
Magic rainbow
On the horizon
I couldn’t see it
Until I let go
Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn
Now I’m coming alive
Body and soul
And feelin’ my world start to turn

OVERALL HISTORY:
Mallory was raised in Cambridge, England and has that distinct British accent. Her Grandmother is also British, but moved to the United States when she wanted an adventure. She moved to Wyoming and has a small ranch up in the mountains. When Mallory was 12 or so, she was sent to live with her Grandmother when her parents were going through a rough patch in their marriage.
The only thing that stayed constant in her life was the ability to play the piano, which she spent many hour doing the first few months she lived with her Grandmother. She didn't know whether or not it was her fault her parents were so upset with each other at the time. Although she was glad to move in with her Grandmother. Mal's mother had been strict and harsh. She made her go to parties and always made sure she hung out with the right people, and was at the top of the social hierarchy, for her mother never was.
Marie always had her daughter in pageants and competitions, which she won easily, but by her mother's "gentle coaxing" Mallory almost quit piano for good. When she moved in with her Grandmother she found the joy that she had once had with playing the piano. Her Grandma was like the mother she never had. When Mallory's parents decided she should come back home, she was reluctant to go back, for she didn't want to leave her dear Grandma.
Although she finally gave in and returned to Cambridge, England. Her mother seemed to have a change of heart and seemed to not be as harsh or strict and her parents seemed happier than ever, but it didn't last. Her Grandmother sent a flier for Beaumont School of Music. It seemed perfect and Mallory really wanted to go. Her parents, well, more or less her mom, didn't want her to go. After all, they just got her back. By now Mal was about 15 and halfway through her Freshman year.
With persistence and determination, Mallory finally got her parents to agree to let her attend. She writes them almost everyday, and writes and calls her grandmother even more.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Mallory ran up the familiar path to her Grandmother's small but very comforting home. She ran past the barn, where she would have to visit the horses later. Her duffel bag bouncing against her side, but she didn't mind the discomfort. She stopped in front of the door and knocked. Her Grandma came to the door, a big grin on her face. She embraced her granddaughter in a tight hug. "Welcome back. I've missed you so much." Victoria said in her warm British accent, which was a pleasant sound to Mal's ears."I've missed you to Grandma." She said smiling.
Without asking, her grandmother instantly took her duffel bag off her shoulder and led Mallory into the familiar house. "I left your room the exact way you left it." She said as they reached the second door on the right, which was Mallory's room. Her Grandma set her bags down on the bed, and Mallory did the same with her other two bags. She was staying here until the school year started, then she would be traveling up to Canada. She wondered if they would accept her accent? She had no reason to worry, she was finally here, back with her Grandma. This house was more of a home than her house in Cambridge. Which reminded her, she needed to phone her parents and tell them she had arrived safely.
"I've got supper already made and sitting out, you can come down whenever your ready honey." Her Grandma said, leaving the room. her Grandmother was always precise, and had that spunk only an old English woman had. You definitely didn't want to cross her, or get on her bad side. Mallory didn't realize how many traits she had inherited from her Grandmother, and she didn't realize how her mother was like her Grandma, Marie probably didn't realize how like her mom she was.
Mallory then rushed down the stairs and shared a quite, wonderful dinner with her Grandma. They talked and talked, long after they had finished eating. It was absolutely and terrifically blissful. Mal went to bed that night with a smile on her face.
